About SOLE impact
Our Philosophy: As mothers raising daughters, we believe it is essential to be proactive in the fight to end cancer. Cancer prevention and awareness saves lives and we aim to ensure that girls in our community learn these life saving lessons. SOLE impact was created as an educational program encompassing principles of fitness, philanthropy, cancer prevention, cancer advocacy, community outreach and healthy eating habits presented in a fun environment.
Mission: To empower girls to be leaders in our community and fundraise for local and national cancer initiatives, all while developing and instilling an enthusiasm for fitness and running.
Vision: SOLE impact envisions this and future generations of girls growing up with the inherent skills of cancer prevention, as well as commonly exercising their young voices as powerful statements of advancement, community and selflessness.
Values: Through education and compassion we will prepare girls to be lifelong participants in fitness and advocates for an end to cancer. We believe that every young girl deserves to be equipped with skills to take her into a healthy adulthood. We will use discretion and integrity as we donate funds nationally and locally in restricted and unrestricted capacities.
SOLE impact is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (Tax ID# 26-0396582) based in The Woodlands, Texas that inspires girls to fitness, philanthropy and an end to cancer.
A Message from Our Founders
Katie and I both lost our mothers to cancer much too soon. Devastated by the loss and wanting to impact our daughters' future health, Katie and I founded SOLE impact in 2007. Searching for a means of turning our grief into an impetus for moving forward, we created a program based on the principles of health, fitness, cancer prevention, advocacy, philanthropy and community outreach. We wanted to ensure that our girls understood the importance of self responsibility in regards to health and to fight cancer physically and philanthropically. What began as the desire of two mothers to impact 5 young girls’ lives quickly evolved into SOLE impact. Through our community program, we have equipped over 200 girls to date with the tools to obtain fitness for life principles, cancer prevention measures and healthy lifestyle choices. We thoroughly enjoy watching each girl become a leader in our community by advocating and fundraising for cancer.
